IMOGEN SAYS NOTHING

by Aditi Brennan Kapil

Yale Repertory Theatre

director - Laurie Woolery

set - Claire DeLiso

lighting - David Weiner

costumes - Haydee Zelideth

production - Yana Biryukova

sound - Christopher Ross-Ewart

 photography - Joey Moro

"Claire Marie DeLiso's scenic design suggests both Shakespeare's Globe Theater and a modern stage with scaffolding and a projection screen. A busier set would likely give away some surprises. And "Imogen Says Nothing," a fierce feminist fable has plenty to say about sexism, classism, literary criticism, canonism and chauvinism, is nothing if not full of surprises. Bear with it."  ----- Hartford Courant

"Woolery’s direction and the production design — Claire Marie DeLiso’s scenery, Maydee Zelideth’s costumes, David Weiner’s lighting, Christopher Ross-Ewart’s sound and Yana Birykova’s projections — are just as imaginative as Kapil’s script." ---- New Haven Register

"Claire DeLiso’s set design resembles towering structures of the leaden anatomy of stained-glass windows, serving also as cages for the bears. It also reminds the audience of the persecuted and the nameless. " ---- OnStageBlog
